Raccoons...

They or it destroyed my flock of ducks. Beaks torn off, eyes eaten out feet and wings missing on birds still alive. In the evening a picture of peacefulness, white ducks happily paddling in a garden pond. Morning finds birds lying on their sides, legless, beakless, eyeless skulls hanging on twisted necks. Partially butchered survivors struggling to escape any sound or movement. White feathers red. Wings hanging from bushes. What a waste. Traps laid yet the murderer has not returned. Earlier this year the entire bunch spent the whole night shacked up with an adult bobcat that had entered the coop and could not find egress.
